The 2 day Riverfront Wine Festival will take place at Over 100 wines will be available for tasting from 24 different wineries, distributors and importers, including Wine-based seminars and food/wine pairings, most notably a special tasting presentation with Riedel Crystal, will be available throughout the two day festival. Other local wine experts, including Jesse Becker, Master Sommelier of The Boiler Room Restaurant, John Ursick, Executive Chef at Stokes Grill & Bar and Aimee Arnold, Certified Sommelier are scheduled to present. Junior League of Omaha has been selected as the non-profit beneficiary of the festival, receiving a portion of the ticket sales. “We are honored to have been selected,” says Shannon Hoy, President of Junior League of Omaha. “We are looking forward to great wine and food, as well as the opportunity to earn money to give back to our community in the form of scholarships and community grants.” The event will take place rain or shine from 1:00 - 6:30 PM each day. General admission tickets are $25 and include 10 tasting coupons, Riedel crystal wine glass, program, live entertainment and the opportunity to purchase wine by the bottle and by the case. Gorges Volvo has been selected as the 2009 VIP sponsor; VIP tickets will be available in limited supply and will allow ticket holders to enjoy unlimited tastings, reserve wines while they last and attend special wine tasting presentations, including the highly anticipated Riedel Tasting.
